Choosing a Replacement Carburettor

Item	Why It Matters
Venturi Size	The internal bore affects airflow, throttle response and engine performance.
Engine-Side Diameter	The carburettor must fit the intake manifold or inlet rubber securely.
Airbox-Side Diameter	The rear of the carburettor must fit the original airbox boot or filter.
Overall Length	The carburettor must fit between the intake manifold and airbox.
Throttle Cable	A different carburettor may require another cable, cable end or throttle assembly.
Jetting	Replacement carburettors normally require tuning for the particular motorcycle.
Engine Type	Carburettor design and calibration must suit a two-stroke or four-stroke engine.

Important Notes

A carburettor with the same bore size is not automatically a direct replacement.
Check the engine-side and airbox-side mounting diameters.
Confirm the overall carburettor length before ordering.
Throttle cables, manifolds or airbox boots may require modification.
Replacement carburettors usually require motorcycle-specific jetting.
Seek advice from an experienced carburettor supplier before purchasing.
